Authentic Korean Restaurant in Bristol

I finally decided to visit Surakhan located on 52 Park Row here in Bristol last week. I am glad I did. The Director/Host named Miyoung Kim was very lovely and attentive. I knew a bit about Korean food so we had a lot to talk about in between me getting down on the food. The food was excellent and truly authentic. I had a bimbimbop, this is a dish serve in a hot stone pot with rice, veg, beef and a raw egg. When it is served, the server mixes all the ingredients and the raw egg gets cooked from the heat of the pot. I also had some chicken wings with garlic and hot sauce plus a side of kimchi. They were delicious but I was a bit disappointed with the amount given compared to it's price. I also had a couple of bottles of Hite beer to was them down. I would definitely go back to this place and try the other dishes on the menu. You should too.

Footwear Design 101

OK, so it's starts off with a brief that may contain information but not limited to the user, gender, age group, interest, occupation, etc. Then some info in what the function of the footwear would be, such as casual or athletic or fashion etc. What kind of materials and the type of technology it should include. Leather, synthetics, air outsoles......Then you have to look at the price it's going to be sold at. This is just the tip of the iceberg.

The project below is for a slip-on type of footwear. The process I am showing is from concept sketches to material specs and a color option.
I do a consumer profile.
What it will be competing with.
The inspiration I used.
I do initial thumbnail sketches.
Then I choose three to five designs and do a full scale version.
I choose one out of the five and do callouts for materials and their functions.
Then I do a rendering. More color options should be done to see if the shapes flow together. If everything seems to be fine, then the next step is creating technical drawings for the outsole. Prototypes for both the upper and the outsole would be created next.

Boxer Rebellion at The Fleece - Bristol

It was an awesome show The Boxer Rebellion have played. The Fleece was the perfect place to hear their sound. To bad my camera is crap and I couldn't take any decent shots. I even did an avi movie and it came out crap too. Oh well, just go out and see them.

Marketplace at Burges Salmon

Was at my first marketplace last night selling all the SiGa stuff. It was a very interesting event. It wasn't really my consumers but I did get a lot of positive feedback and some good networking. Plus the wine and snacks were flowing.

My little table stall. I was also selling used magazines.
A stall to my left. Place a donation of any kind and get whatever you want from food to clothing.
This stall was to my right. She had some cool stuff too. From clothing to buttons and handbags. www.charlieboots.co.uk
And of course the goodies table.

Fujiya and Miyagi live at The Fleece - Bristol

This is the first time we visited The Fleece here in Bristol, http://www.thefleece.co.uk/. It is a really nice venue with great sound. The only thing that bothered me about the place was the poles which were holding up the ceiling. They were all over the place. I never realized all the big named bands that came through this place. From the likes of Oasis, Muse, Keane and Radiohead, just to name a few. Last nights show by Fujiya and Miyagi was very fun and upbeat. This is the place to visit to see up coming and established bands.

What?!?!? Can I help you?!?!?

Up yours?!?!?!?

What's for dinner?
